Privacy policy
We do not ask you to create an account, we do not run a newsletter, and we do not sell personal data. The only thing stored in your browser is your setup-checklist progress. Cookies may be set by our affiliate partners after you click through to a vendor.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you, unless you email us. This site is a set of static pages. There is no login, no comment system, no contact form and no newsletter signup.
- Local storage. The setup checklist saves which items you have ticked, in your own browser, so the page remembers your progress. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained for a short period by the host.
- Email. If you write to contact@easybookkeeping.xyz, we keep the message so we can reply.
Cookies and affiliate links
We do not set advertising cookies ourselves. However, outbound links to vendor sites are affiliate links: when you click one, the vendor or its affiliate network may set a cookie in your browser to attribute a future subscription to this site. That cookie is controlled by the vendor or network, not by us, and it is what allows the commission to be paid — at no extra cost to you.
You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or use a private window. Doing so will not change the price you pay for any product.
Third-party sites
Once you follow a link to a vendor, that site's own privacy policy and terms apply. We do not control what they collect. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site before entering payment details.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to object to certain processing. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests are satisfied by clearing your browser storage. For anything else — including California residents exercising CCPA/CPRA rights, or individuals covered by GDPR — email us and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Children
This site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS with strict transport security, a content security policy, and no third-party scripts. Because there is no database and no user accounts, there is no stored customer data to breach.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above will change and the new version will apply from that date.
