Editorial standards
How we research, verify and update this site
Everything here is written for one reader: a small business owner who needs a straight answer about bookkeeping software, quickly, without a sales pitch.
Who writes this
Easy Bookkeeping is an independent publication. We are not Intuit, we are not a QuickBooks reseller, and we do not provide accounting, tax or legal advice. We are a small editorial team that reads vendor documentation, keeps books for small businesses, and talks to owners about what actually breaks.
How we verify prices
- We read the number off the vendor's own pricing page first.
- We cross-check it against at least two independent sources published within the same quarter — normally a large review site and a pricing tracker that states its verification date.
- Where sources disagree, we say so instead of picking the friendlier number.
- We state the month we checked. If a page says "checked October 2026", that is when the numbers were last compared against the live vendor page.
Prices change. Promotions, annual billing, regional pricing and accountant-billed plans all move the figure you will actually pay, which is why every pricing table on this site carries a "verify before you buy" note.
How we verify features
Feature claims come from the vendor's product documentation and from hands-on use of the software. Where a capability exists but is limited — inventory tracking that does not handle multiple warehouses, for example — we say what the limit is rather than listing the feature as present.
What we will not do
- We do not accept payment for a ranking, a score or a "best of" placement.
- We do not publish invented statistics. Every number on this site is either from a named source or clearly labelled as an estimate or example.
- We do not hide drawbacks behind a call to action. If a product is wrong for you, the page says so before the button.

This site is reader-supported. When you start a paid subscription through a link here, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That commission does not change the price you pay, and it does not determine what we recommend — several pages recommend not buying, which pays us nothing.

Corrections
If something here is wrong — a price, a date, a feature that changed — tell us and we will fix it and note the correction. Email contact@easybookkeeping.xyz with the page and the detail. We aim to respond within two business days.
Update cadence
- Pricing pages: re-checked when a vendor announces a change, and at least quarterly.
- Tax calendar: recalculated automatically for the current year, checked against the IRS calendar each January.
- Product reviews: revisited when a major release lands or a material complaint pattern appears in owner forums.
